新加坡海事雇主联合会（SMEF），自1955年8月26日成立以来，在促进海事雇主与海员之间建立稳固的劳资关系方面发挥着关键作用。作为一个依据《新加坡工会法》注册的非营利组织，SMEF在适应航运业不断变化的格局时，始终致力于维护其成员的利益。
2025年2月27日，SMEF在新加坡森海举行的重要会议上迎来了一个重要的里程碑，70年来成员们首次成功投票修改了SMEF章程。这一期待已久的更新确保了SMEF的包容性，使其与航运业日新月异的需求保持同步，进一步强化了其对行业增长与合作的坚定承诺。
作为理事会成员，新加坡森海非常荣幸地承办了此次重要活动，精心准备了茶点，为所有与会成员提供了一个温馨而热情的环境。当晚，与会成员们在富有洞察力的讨论中加深了彼此的连接，这真实地体现了航运界的精神风貌。

Celebrating a Historic Milestone for SMEF at Singhai Singapore
The Singapore Maritime Employers Federation (SMEF) was established on 26 August 1955 and has played a vital role in fostering strong industrial relations between maritime employers and seafarers. As a non-profit organization registered under the Singapore Trade Unions Act, SMEF continues to champion the interests of its members while adapting to the evolving shipping landscape.
On 27 February 2025, a significant milestone was achieved at a meeting held at Singhai Singapore Office, where members successfully voted to amend the SMEF constitution for the first time in 70 years. This long-awaited update ensures SMEF remains inclusive and aligned with the changing needs of the maritime industry, reinforcing its commitment to industry growth and collaboration.
As a council member, Singhai Singapore was honored to host this important event, providing a warm and welcoming setting with light refreshments. The evening was filled with insightful discussions, camaraderie, and strengthened relationships—a true reflection of the maritime community’s spirit.
We look forward to seeing SMEF continue to grow and contribute meaningfully to the maritime industry.
