2021 年 11 月 11 日是中新（南通）国际海事培训中心历史上的一个重要里程碑，这一天，由新加坡海员联合会、江苏航运学院（前南通航运学院）以及新加坡森海海事共同建立的中新国际10岁了！
尽管面临种种挑战，过去十年中新国际在很多方面都是富有成果和成功的。在这短短十年里，中新国际已成为首屈一指的专业海事培训机构。作为海事培训机构中的佼佼者，我们通过提供实用的培训，不断提升高级船员、实习生和普通船员的能力，确保他们在船上能高效的完成工作任务。
11 Nov 2021 is a significant milestone in the history of the Singapore (Nantong) International Maritime Institute (SNIMI) as it marks our 10th Anniversary since we were established through the partnership of the Singapore Organisation of Seamen, the Jiangsu Shipping College (then Nantong Shipping College) and Singhai Marine Services Singapore in 2011.
Despite challenges, the past 10 years have been a fruitful and successful journey for SNIMI in many ways. In this short span of time, SNIMI has established itself as a premier and professional maritime training institute. As one of the best maritime training institutes of its class, we provide realistic training to equip officers, cadets and ratings with the required competencies to perform their tasks more effectively and efficiently on board ships.
在过去的十年中，我们的实力和能力不断增强，获得了许多赞誉。中新国际最初只能提供三项培训课程，现在已能开展八个大类的培训项目，包括海事增强培训、轮机员培训、航行培训、普通船员培训、海事英语培训、管理能力培训、海事劳工公约培训以及海乘培训。
We have grown in strength and capability, and garnered many accolades in the past 10 years. From offering just 3 training courses when we started, SNIMI now offers 8 categories of training programme, ranging from Maritime Enhancement Training Programme (METP), Marine Engineering Training Programme, Nautical Training Programme, Ratings Training Programme, Maritime English Training Programme, Management Training Programme, MLC Training Programme to Hospitality Training Programme.
2011年我们只有4名教职员工，如今已建立了拥有50多名国内外教职员工的人才队伍。在过去的十年里，中新国际开办了900多期培训课程，培训学员超过1.5万人。
海事行业是一个全球化的行业，国际化是中新国际作为海事培训中心成功的关键之一。凭借新加坡海员联合会和新加坡森海良好的国际声誉，中新国际在不断的努力之下成功地推动诸如马来西亚海事学院、新加坡技术教育学院、缅甸商业海事学院、缅甸卓越海事培训中心和斯里兰卡海员培训中心等海外培训中心、学校和机构与江苏航运学院之间的国际化合作与交流。
With just 4 teaching staff in 2011, SNIMI has built up a human capital pool of more than 50 domestic and international teaching staff to date. Our teaching staff has conducted more than 900 training courses for the institute catering to more than 15,000 participants in the past 10 years.
The maritime industry is a global industry and internationalization of maritime training is one key plank of SNIMI’s success. Leveraging on the standing and sound international reputation of the Singapore Organisation of Seamen and Singhai Marine Services Singapore, SNIMI has consistently strived, and succeeded, to promote the internationalization of Jiangsu Shipping College through collaboration with many overseas training centres, schools and institutes such as the Malaysian Maritime Academy, Singapore Institute of Technology Education, Myanmar Mercantile Maritime College, Myanmar Excellence Maritime Training Center and Sri Lanka Seaman Training Center.
我们采用国际先进的管理方法，通过富有实践意义，和创新成果的教学法开展培训，江苏航运学院申报的以中新国际为蓝本的跨境校企共同体项目获得国家级教学成果一等奖，这样的合作模式受到广泛的认可、宣传和赞誉。2014年10月29日，成立仅3年后，中新国际通过江苏海事局课程认证，成为首家基于国际海事组织示范课程开展驾驶台资源管理（国际海事组织示范课程1.39）和电子海图显示信息系统（国际海事组织示范课程1.27）两项课程的培训中心。随后，中新国际通过认证成为中国海事局认可的培训机构。多年来中新国际的努力和成绩有目共睹，我们也将继续努力提供全方位的优质海事教育和培训，进一步增强中国海员在国际航运市场的核心竞争力。
We manage the institute based on established international management approach, best practices and an innovative training pedagogy. Our institute-overseas enterprises collaborating model achieved the national-level China Education Achievement First Class Award, garnering recognition, accolades and publicity for Jiangsu Shipping College and SNIMI. Just 3 years after our inception on 29 Oct 2014, SNIMI became the first maritime training service provider to obtain the Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration's course certification for Bridge Resource Management (IMO Model Course 1.39) and Electronic Chart Display Information System (IMO Model Course 1.27) based on IMO model course framework. Our effort and achievement has gained recognition by both players and regulators of the shipping industry. SNIMI is the China Maritime Safety Administration (MSA)’s recognized training institute in China and we are determined to provide full spectrum of quality maritime education and training with the main trust of enhancing and further strengthening seafarers’ core competitiveness in the international shipping industry.
十年来，中新国际始终坚持以客户为导向，提供高效创新型课程，同时我们紧密结合工作实际，提供高质量的海事增值培训。我们的课程参考国际海事组织示范课程，强调实践，结合国际公约的要求对海员进行针对性的培训。我们的特色课程包含面向实习生、驾驶员和轮机员的海事增强培训、面向邮轮乘务的酒店管理培训以及面向普通船员的海佳优质普通船员及厨师培训。其中实习生海事增强培训通过实践，体验，互动，讲授，分享等方式让学生充分了解船上的生活、工作和学习情况，一方面让更多的学生能被国际船东录取，另一方面也大大缩短了学生上船后的适应时间，此培训项目受到了船东的广大欢迎，也有越来越多的船东派自己的实习生到中新国际参加实习生海事增强培训。
SNIMI’s training philosophy since its incorporation 10 years ago remains unchanged. First and foremost, we are guided by customer needs foreseeing and providing innovative and courses effectively and efficiently. We also align closely with industry work practices and provide high-quality value-added maritime training courses. Drawing on the design of the International Maritime Organization Model Course, our curriculum emphasizes practical and practical teaching characteristics and are designed to meet the requirements of the seafarers training needs and relevant international conventions. Our ironic courses that differentiate us from other institutions include our Maritime Enhancement Training Programme (METP) for cadets, deck officers and marine engineers, Hospitality training for hotel personnel for cruise liners as well as our SEACARE Quality Ratings and Cooks Training (SQRT/SQCT) Programme. Specifically, our Maritime Enhancement Training Programme (METP) is designed to prepare both deck and engine cadets prior to them joining ships. The METP for cadets comprehensively covers essential components that cadets should be competent with in order to increase their chance of being successfully selected by international shipping companies as well as shorten the period they take to adjust to their new working environment on board ship. The value of our METP for cadets had been recognized and warmly welcomed by the shipping community. More and more shipping companies are approaching SNIMI to conduct the METP for their cadets.
尽管我们在过去十年中遇到很多困难，但我们经历过风雨的洗礼，已经变得更加强大。新冠疫情在全球肆虐，在世界范围内引起了动荡，也严重扰乱了我们的发展规划。然而是各股东方的大力支持，为中新国际指明了方向，还有员工的奉献，让中新国际有底气迎难而上，不惧挑战，我们相信只要不放弃，就一定能看到胜利的曙光。
回顾过去，放眼未来，中新国际会继续为客户提供量身定制的优质培训，同时也会牢牢把握市场脉搏，走在海事培训的前沿，做海事培训的创新者和排头兵，在推动中新国际发展进步的同时，为航运业数字化和低碳发展贡献自己的力量。
Despite the many challenges we faced in the last 10 years, SNIMI has managed to successfully navigate the many storms we experienced in the past 10 years and emerged stronger and ready for the future. The most recent and still ongoing storm is the global turbulence brought about by the Covid 19 pandemic that has severely disrupted our training programme. During such crises, the vital ingredient for our success in the past 10 years is undoubtedly the belief of our shareholders that SNIMI had done well and will continue to have a bright future in the maritime training industry despite current challenges and difficulties. Our shareholders and Board of Directors had not only given their support totally but also steered us purposefully with their clear vision. Finally, and equally importantly, the hard work and commitment of our dedicated staff had contributed to the success we enjoy today.
As we recollect our achievements in the past 10 years, we should turn our attention to the next 10 years as well. Looking ahead, SNIMI is committed to channeling our energies to propel the continuous growth of SNIMI by continuing to design and provide relevant training programme to meet the training needs of our partners in a timely fashion as well as foresee emerging trends in the shipping industry and the attendant training needs arising from such emerging trends. In the immediate future, we see the shipping industry trending towards digitalization and decarbonization and will design training needs to assist the shipping industry towards higher level of digitalization and decarbonization.
