Deck Department Officer Recruitment Criteria
Master
Minimum Requirement:
1. Holding of updated large ship handling simulator training certificate.
2. Good command of English to discharge his duties.
3. English/Professional ability to be tested through VOA before/after interview
4. Age below 55 years old. Exceptional case may consider.
Minimum Sea Experience:
1. Minimum 5 years services on board oil tanker vessels. Amongst, not less than 3 years sea services with crude oil tanker, including 36 months sea services as Chief Officer served with crude oil tanker vessels.
2. Minimum 12 months sea time as Master served on board ocean-going crude oil tanker vessel.
Chief Officer
Minimum Requirement:
1. Holding of updated large ship handling simulator training certificate.
2. Good command of English to discharge his duties.
3. English/Professional ability to be tested through VOA before/after interview
4. Age : not more than 50 years old. Exceptional case may consider.
Minimum Sea Experience:
1. Minimum 5 years sea service onboard oil tanker vessels. Amongst, not less than 30 months sea service with crude oil tanker, including 9 months sea service as Chief Officer served with crude oil tanker vessels.
2. Minimum 5 years sea service on board oil tanker vessels. Amongst, not less than 30months sea services with crude oil tanker, including minimum 18 months sea service as 2nd Officer served on board crude oil tanker vessels.
Second Officer
Minimum Requirement:
1. Holding of updated large ship handling simulator training certificate.
2. Good command of English to discharge his duties.
3. English/Professional ability to be tested through VOA before/after interview
4. Age: not more than 45 years old.
Minimum Sea Experience:
1. Minimum 2 years sea services onboard oil tanker vessels.
2. Minimum 18 months as 3rd Officer sea service onboard oil tanker vessel,
amongst, not less than 6 months sea services on board crude oil tanker vessel.
Engine Department Engineer Recruitment Criteria
Third Engineer
Minimum Requirement:
1. Good command of English to discharge his duties.
2. Knowledge of electrical equipment is preferred.
3. English/Professional ability to be tested through VOA before/after interview
4. Age : not more than 45 years old
Minimum Sea Experience:
1. Minimum 2 years working experience onboard oil tankers vessels.
2. Minimum 18 months as 4th Engineer sea services on board diesel main engine crude oil tanker vessels.
Electrical Engineer/Electrician
Minimum Requirement:
1. Professional skill either from graduate of Maritime College, special Training Institute, or working experience in Electrical Department of repair shop/shipyard.
2. Good command of English to discharge his duties.
3. Age : not more than 50 years old
Minimum Sea Experience:
Minimum two years as Electrician served on board vessels.
